I’ve always felt that Pamela Coleman Smith’s illustration of the Eight of Wands made for one of the more simple cards. In your case, however, there’s a clear message: you may have a lot in the air right now, but also, your limit is sky high!
While we might have expected an Ace of Wands or Swords for this question, the preponderance of sticks bristling with fresh growth across these two cards seem to be saying, “Don’t just start one new project… Make a LOT of things!” So maybe you don’t need to worry about getting the perfect idea, but simply one that is good enough to throw into the air, like a graduation cap, to see how it lands.
You also don’t need to go it alone! Perhaps the partiers in the Six all threw their Wands in the air—energetic, courageous, triumphant—to create the Eight?
