Blind but for the Child
The Two of Swords and Six of Cups provide inspo for a Tarot poem in response to a reader question!
Welcome back to WiggleStick: a playful synonym for “divining rod” that, today, helps Magnolia with the question they volunteered on a previous WiggleStick poem!
Huge thanks to
for translating these poems into something wonderful and weird and totally TikTok worthy!I need more questions! if you’d like a bespoke poem and reading of your own…

Two Of Swords
Difficult decisions, weighing up options, an impasse, avoidance
Six Of Cups
Revisiting the past, childhood memories, innocence, joy.
Passing through impasses, stuck with decisions,
Weighing up options on difficult missions…Perhaps you’ve had chances to calculate differently?
Shielding your eyes wasn’t right. (With my sympathy.)Turning, instead, to the child inside you.
It knows the right moves; those your thinking self’s blind to.Cultivate innocence, lean into joy.
Even at times when it feels like a ploy.
I’m only noticing now that the blindfold on the character in the Two of Swords looks almost exactly like the hilt of one of the swords.
Given that swords represent thoughts and the analytical mind, perhaps this refers to a case of analysis paralysis. That’s that feeling you get in the supermarket vitamin aisle where there’s tons of similar options—any of them would probably give you some of the nutrients you need, but there’s so many to pick between that it almost feels impossible to choose.
And to keep the Six of Cups from feeling left out, I want to talk a bit about the numerology of the sixes across all four suits.
All four Sixes represent “sharing” of some kind.
Wands: Sharing success
Pentacles: Sharing charity
Swords: Sharing someone else’s burden
Cups: Sharing joy
Keep an eye out for it! These kinds of tricks can definitely make memorizing the cards a little easier.
And maybe sharing some kind of innocence or joy is what you’re being called to? Maybe there’s a little love and compassion you can kick down to your former self? Maybe there’s someone younger who you can share some beauty with to help them navigate a problem similar to one of the ones you’ve survived?
Just some thoughts.
If you liked this, you can always buy a cup of coffee as an optional Dāna. A like ❤️ and a share 🔁 are always welcome, as well, though! It may just help more people find guidance from the WiggleStick.
The WiggleStick has spoken.
(Dramatic!)
Know someone who could benefit from the WiggleStick’s guidance?
Of course! Anyone else who wants a poem reading…
And why not sign up for a cute lil poem a day?
I have a question. I'm in the beginning stages of creating my Substack. What advice do the cards have for me as I begin this new writing journey?
I love your poems, so creative! Thanks!
This was very insightful and I loved it.
